Sadly we have come to the end of our 24 Hour Charity Broadcast.

During the day we have had a lot of shows, features and give-aways, raised money for 2 very special charities and had a blast while doing it!

But there is more!

Over the next week we will be chasing up all the loose ends such as the result for the “BIG 24 challenge”, all of our donations, missing pictures and set’s of podcasts to enable you to relive the best parts of the broadcast.

The five rounds included:-

1. “It could be anything or everything” which included general knowledge questions
2. From this round we learnt that Scotland won the 2005 Elephant Polo World Championship!! That’s right you read Scotland!!!
3. “Let’s face the music and dance”
   • FACT! – Did you know that New Orleans is known as the home of Jazz…. well you do know!
4. “How far from Keele”. Contestants had to judge how far from Keele different locations were.
   • FACT! – For those who would like to visit Barcelona in the Summer it is 1095 miles away
5. “When was that?”FACT! -DNA was discovered in 1953
6. “You have a Sporting Chance”
   • TC was proud to create the final question of the round which was “How many teams has David Beckham played for??”…. the answer was 5 (Man United, Madrid, Galaxy, Milan and Preston (on loan)).

During the fifth round Tim Palmer entered the quiz. Each question was worth five times the amount as he missed the other rounds. Despite the epic effort from all the contestants Tim Palmer in fact won due to knowing the answer to “Which teams were promoted via the play offs this year?” which gave him a massive 15 points!

Tim Palmer, a 3rd year KUBE-ite with a tendency to humiliate himself publically for the good of charity, presented his FINAL show on KUBE this year. And woah did he go out with a bang.

Those who listened last year will remember his previous fundraising efforts and recall him being cling filmed to a tree by Holly BW. He was then attacked by students who covered him in flour, beans, eggs, squirty cream, and bacon. Although he spent the next few days getting assorted food stuffs out of his hair, everyone can remember Tim’s epic ‘knoming’ stunt.

He was also ‘kegged’ by Talah Omran (last year’s KUSU president) who then filled his underwear with whipped cream. Truly embarrassed, but a truly memorable fund raising effort. And once again, as his farewell gift to KUBE, Tim Palmer consumed astounding variations of foods.

First of all Tim decided he would eat a pitta bread stuffed with wasabi, chillis, jalepenos peppers, and tabasco sauce. This was then washed down with hot sauce, sweets dipped in assorted dips, pickled ginger, amongst other implausible variations.

His eating-antics were so amusing, we’ve even made him his own gallery, so head over there for evidence that he really is as deranged as this blog makes his out to be!

Never Mind the KUBEcocks returned for another year, and this time round it was better than ever.

Team Metro (Vinnie & Aide) took on Team LAD (TC & Stevie B) in the classic music quiz.

The quiz consisted of three rounds – Guess that Tune, General Quiz, and the Intros Round.

Round 1

Round 2 – Guess The Intro

This round saw both teams battle it out to see which one could guess the intro to forty songs. It was close! Both teams had a DJ on them, and at times there were milliseconds between the teams. The results show just how close it was!

Round 3-Name That Tune

Both teams had to perform the intro to a song for the fabulous Holly BW to guess. They couldn’t sing the words, only hum/sing/make random noises etc. Team Metro were given Peter Andre – ‘Mysterious Girl’ & Lady GaGa – ‘Paparazzi’, whilst Team LAD were given Dolly Parton – ‘9-5′ & Tinnie Tempa – ‘Pass Out’. The Intros Round

The Classic Dating programme by Cilla Black was recreated on the 24 hour charity broadcast and hosted by Vinesh and Mikey
