What we did…
We challenged KUSU sabbatical officers, Nick Heath, Roger Weston, along with incoming officers Fadi Dada and Sonia Douz as well as Tom Walker & Ross Evans to a special challenge. They were sent off to Hanley to complete 24 challenges at 11:30 and told to return by 2:30 with the most money, most challenges completed and most evidence of their escapades.
The challenges
- Take a photo with a tramp/homeless man (if not – the most homeless looking!!)
- Kiss a member of the public (over 18)
- Pull a pint in a pub
- Take a photo posing suggestively on a pool/snooker table
- Steal 5 beer mats
- Attempt to busk with given instrument and make the most from it! Aim £10
- Take a photo in the drivers seat of a cab
- Blag any item from the market
- Hug a police officer, traffic warden or somebody looking important/in a suit
- Get lots of info leaflets from the Citizens Advice Bureau and a video speaking to them in a different accent
- Walk completely barefoot into a shoe shop
- Sit together in or on a children’s ride
- Cross dress in Primark
- Pose alongside the Stanley Matthews statue in Hanley (imitating it)
- Take a photo in changing room of Ann Summers
- Walk the wrong way down an escalator when there’s other people
going the right way (video) - Get 2 KUBE stickers on different members of the public backs’ (without them noticing)
- Stand reading dirty magazines in a newsagents after taking most of them off the shelf
- See how many items you can buy for £1 (quantity not quality) (to be judged on air)
- Raise £5 in bucket (HOWEVER YOU LIKE)
- Sit outside potteries with a sign offering MASSAGES (extra point if actually massage)
- Act starstruck and obtain a random persons autograph
- Get a photo anywhere in a staff only area
- Pornstar pose on a car bonnet
